Doch das Sportliche wird 49 Sekunden vor Spielende zur Nebensache. Plötzlich wird es mucksmäuschenstill in der Halle des TBV. Dabei ist das Heimteam auf dem direkten Wege zum nächsten Sieg. Der Grund: Ein medizinischer Notfall auf der Tribüne. Lemgos Mannschaftsarzt rennt sofort zur betroffenen Person und versorgt diese auf der Haupttribüne.
Immerhin: Dyn-Reporter Lennart Wilken-Johannes kann im Live-TV nach wenigen Minuten erste leichte Entwarnung geben: Die Person sei ansprechbar, berichtet er. Kurz darauf transportieren Sanitär die Person unter dem aufmunternden Applaus der Fans aus der Halle. Die Spieler einigen sich in der Folge darauf, die verbliebenen Sekunden herunterlaufen zu lassen, es gibt keine Angriffsversuche mehr.
Dann ist der nächste Erfolg des TBV unter gedämpften Beifall perfekt.
Zuvor sorgt der Ex-Meister (1997 und 2003) schon zur Pause für klare Verhältnisse, führt mit 13:9, zieht danach auf 15:9 davon. Die Löwen bleiben halbzeitübergreifend zehn (!) Minuten ohne eigenen Treffer. Und das liegt zu einem Großteil an einem Mann: TBV-Torwart Constantin Möstl (25).
