Simone Biles has recently attracted attention by neither ruling out nor confirming her participation in the 2028 Olympic Games.
After her success in Paris last year, where she won three gold medals and one silver, the possibility of the 28-year-old gymnast retiring from competition resonated strongly. However, she appears to have left the door open for at least one more competition.

Looking ahead to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the presence of the outstanding gymnast, who would be 31 by then, is one of the big unknowns.
In this regard, on her recent trip to Argentina, Simone confessed that her priority is her mental health: “Everyone likes to talk about L.A. and what that road looks like for me… So, currently, I am taking some time off from the gym because I think it’s really important that your physical health matches your mental health,” she said.
The truth is that the Olympic medalist shifted the focus of attention when she decided to prioritize her mental health at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, opening up the debate on this issue.
For this reason, it is not surprising that she has made this decision and is taking her time to evaluate her participation in this competition. However, she is not depriving herself of doing what she loves most.
Simone shared a video with her followers on her official Instagram account in her stories where she is seen doing two somersaults on the trampoline for the first time after a long break of one year. She also shared updates on her life during this time:
“First flip, in a year, at the new house, with new [cherry emoji],” wrote the gymnast.
Although this grand gesture has excited fans about her return to competition, Biles has not officially and definitively confirmed her participation in these events.
However, she assured that she would like to be part of the Los Angeles Games “in some capacity”: “I just don’t know right now if it’s on the floor or in the stands, but I definitely want to go and be a part of that movement,” she said. Will we see Simone Biles display her talent at the 2028 Olympic Games? Only time will tell.
