These are some of the best player prop bets to target in Week 7 for the 2025 NFL season.
TE Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys: Over 36.5 receiving yards (-115)
Ferguson stepped up for quarterback Dak Prescott and Dallas’ offense amid a slew of injuries to pass catchers. Through Week 6, the Cowboys‘ tight end not only leads his team in targets (51), receptions (44) and threat percentage (27.9%), but he also paces all tight ends across the NFL. That level of volume and presence in the game plan has allowed Ferguson to exceed this mark in four of his six games this season.
His cohesion with Prescott has grown throughout the weeks without CeeDee Lamb active. Despite the reentry of the All-Pro receiver into the lineup, don’t expect Ferguson to be relegated to a minute role in the offense. Even when lined up together, Ferguson matched Lamb in both receptions (16) and target rate on routes run (27.0%).
This week’s matchup presents a strong opportunity for Ferguson to erupt. The Commanders have struggled in tight end coverage this season, holding the second-lowest PFF coverage grade on throws targeting the position. They rank last in the NFL in yards allowed per coverage target (10.9) and percentage of receptions to go for 15 or more yards (32.3%).
QB Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears: Over 4.5 rushing attempts (-147)
Since entering the NFL, Williams has used his athleticism to great effect. His 96 rushing attempts (not including kneel-downs) since the start of last season are the sixth most among quarterbacks. This season, head coach Ben Johnson has been utilizing that piece of Williams’ game in a variety of designed looks, with the second-year signal-caller holding a top-eight mark in designed quarterback runs. Paired with his ability to break the pocket and create off scrambles, Williams has been able to earn a 73.8 PFF rushing grade and surpass this line in four of five games this season.
That will be a difficult task for the Saints, who have struggled to track mobile quarterbacks this season. New Orleans has faced the fourth-most quarterback scrambles this season and allowed more than 150 yards on the ground on such plays. Opposing quarterbacks are feasting when escaping the pocket or designing quarterback runs. In all but one of the Saints’ games this season, the opposing quarterback has gone over this line.
