Hulk se reuniu com a diretoria do Atlético-MG para tratar do futuro, horas antes de brilhar com a assistência para o gol de Dudu, no 1 a 1 com o Independiente de Valle, em Quito. E em meio a notícias de que o ídolo atleticano pode sair, o presidente do Galo, Sérgio Coelho, negou qualquer possibilidade de rescisão antecipada do contrato.
“Hulk é um dos maiores ídolos da história de quase 120 anos do Galo. Ídolo aparece a cada 10 anos e olhe lá. A gente cumpre com os nossos contratos, independentemente se o jogador está bem ou não, se é ídolo ou não. Especialmente com o Hulk, nós jamais pensaríamos em fazer uma coisa dessas”, declarou o dirigente.
Donos da SAF também negam saída
O atacante de 39 anos tem vínculo até dezembro de 2026 e ficou surpreso ao ler que o Galo poderia rescindir para economizar dinheiro. Mas o Sérgio Coelho o tranquilizou e descartou uma possível saída.
O dirigente também contou que procurou os investidores donos da SAF do Galo, conhecidos como “4R’s”, além de Paulo Bracks e Victor, para confirmar se havia algum comentário interno sobre uma possível saída.
“Foram unânimes: jamais fariam isso”, completou.
Sérgio Coelho e Hulk se reuniram em Quito, na véspera da partida pelo jogo de ida da Copa Sul-Americana. Também participaram o diretor e o executivo de futebol, Paulo Bracks e Victor Bagy.
“A gente tem maturidade para tratar. Conversei com Hulk durante muito tempo, ele ficou tranquilo e a Massa Atleticana pode ter absoluta certeza: o Hulk ficará conosco até o final do ano que vem. Se ele demonstrar interesse em sair, vai trazer uma proposta e o clube vai avaliar. Mas partir da gente para romper contrato, a chance é zero”, garantiu o presidente atleticano.
A posição do ídolo do Galo
Logo após a partida, Hulk se manifestou em entrevista à ESPN e demonstrou surpresa com a possibilidade de rescisão. Mas se mostrou tranquilo após a conversa com a diretoria.
“Foi meio que uma bomba para todo mundo, mas conversei bastante com Sérgio Coelho, que é um cara espetacular, tem muito o meu respeito, assim como os 4R’s. Estou muito feliz, enquanto eu estiver aqui, com certeza vou estar com muito amor”, avisou.
Em 2025, o atacante soma 49 partidas, com 16 gols e cinco assistências. Com a chegada de Jorge Sampaoli, o experiente jogador perdeu a vaga de titular diante da má fase, já que não faz gol desde agosto.
“É muito importante recuperar Hulk, porque ele é um ídolo do clube, um jogador que viveu muitas coisas no clube. Ele fez a jogada do empate. Nós esperamos sempre o melhor rendimento dele, seguramente vai dar mais tranquilidade e a equipe vai jogar muito mais”, disse Sampaoli.
