Test bestanden! Im vorletzten Spiel vor der Handball-WM besiegen die deutschen Frauen die Auswahl der Schweiz deutlich mit 35:17.
Noch sechs Tage: Am kommenden Mittwoch beginnt die Handball-WM der Frauen in Deutschland und den Niederlanden.
Zweimal testet das Team von Bundestrainer Markus Gaugisch (51) vorher noch, beide Male gegen die Schweiz. Heute (Donnerstag) in St. Gallen, am Samstag (14.30 Uhr) im Göppingen (DF1 überträgt).

Kein Kameramann, keine klassische Regie im Hintergrund. „Die KI reagiert auf Ballbewegungen“, erklärt Schimon den Zuschauern auf DF1, der mit der Expertin Isabell Klein im Studio in Unterföhrung (bei München) sitzt.

Problem: Bei spektakulären oder kritischen Szenen, fordern Kommentatoren meist live eine Wiederholung ein. Dann reagiert die Regie und spielt die Szene nochmal ein. „Das geht bei einer KI nicht“, bedauert Schimon. „Aber vielleicht sollten wir es auf schwiizerdütsch versuchen“, sagt er scherzhaft.

„Das war wohl zu schnell. Da kam die KI wohl nicht ganz mit“, witzelt Expertin Isabell Klein dann noch einmal in der zweiten Hälfte, als die Kameras eine Spielszene nicht ganz einfangen. „Jetzt schimpf doch nicht so auf die KI“, versucht Schimon sie etwas zu beschwichtigen.
Die KI ist das gesamte Spiel ein Thema. „KI sucht, KI findet. Und KI zeigt uns, was wir nicht sehen wollen“ kommentiert Schimon in der Schlussminute eine Szene, als eine Schweizerin verletzt das Spielfeld verlassen muss.
Deutschland trifft im WM-Eröffnungsspiel am 26. November in der Porsche Arena Stuttgart auf Island. Zwei Tage später (28. November) auf Uruguay und zum Abschluss der Vorrunde am 30. November auf Serbien – alle Spiele finden um 18 Uhr statt.
Danach geht es in der Dortmunder Westfalenhalle mit der Hauptrunde weiter: 2. Dezember (20.30 Uhr), 4. Dezember und 6. Dezember (18 Uhr), das mögliche Viertelfinale mit DHB-Beteiligung wäre dann am 9. Dezember.
