Folliot čelil obvinění kvůli jedenácti zápasům v letech 2022 až 2024, v osmi z nich sám nastoupil. Vyšetřovatelé mu dávali za vinu, že ovlivňoval výsledky utkání, kvůli sázkám bral peníze za to, že nepodá maximální výkon, nabízel úplatky jiným tenistům za ovlivňování utkání, poskytoval zákulisní informace, organizoval spiknutí pro korupční činnost, nespolupracoval při vyšetřování a ničil důkazy. Sám tenista všechna obvinění odmítal.
Na půdě ITIA se jeho případ projednával 20. a 21. října. Nezávislý úředník zodpovědný za korupci Amani Chalífa uznal Folliota vinným v 27 z 30 obvinění. Zamítl jen nařčení ze tří prohřešků, které se vztahovaly k utkání ve čtyřhře z ledna 2024. Při určování výše trestu přihlédl Chalífa k přitěžujícím okolnostem, především k úmyslnému bránění vyšetřování z hráčovy strany.
Distanc se týká jakéhokoli působení v tenisovém prostředí včetně trénování nebo návštěvy jakékoli tenisové akce organizované členy ITIA. Tam patří všichni hlavní aktéři ve světovém tenise, jako jsou organizace ATP a WTA, Mezinárodní tenisová federace ITF, australský, francouzský a americký tenisový svaz a Wimbledon.
Do trestu se Folliotovi započítává období od 17. května 2024, kdy měl pozastavenou činnost. Distanc mu tak vyprší 16. května 2044, pokud uhradí pokutu i kompenzaci za korupční platby.
Vedle Folliota ITIA dříve v souvislosti s tímto případem potrestala dalších pět hráčů. Žádné velké jméno mezi nimi není.
